Everything is not of necessity cheaper in Bulgaria, especially electrical goods, nor anything else which has to be imported.

You can get a dud in the UK, but with a better of chance of getting it changed or fixed!!

The cheapest laptop stocked by one of the large Bulgarian electronics chains is 687.67 € and the dearest is 2913.79 € - by the time you had paid VAT & import duty (which you would, of course ), it would cost more to buy in BG than in the UK.

It depends on what sort of laptop you want I am staying in varna and have found a great computer shop next to mcdonalds which is selling laptops at a starting price of 495€ which is not a bad acer model but not if you want to do lots of processing. They have very good prices in there but can't remember the name but no doubt i'll be up there again shortly as need more wireless cards and another laptop.
