Imho, the free form pool at the Aventura spa palace resort in Mexico is the best pool that I have ever seen.... just as well. because there's no beach at this resort...
The pool at the Paradisus Rio De Oro in Cuba is very nice, its nice and big with a swim up bar just in case you need a rest as you swim across!
Darren
I agree with you Darren - the pool at paradisus rio de oro was the best I've seen. I'm a beach person though so only went in a couple of times - never even made it to the swim up bar.
never even made it to the swim up bar
You missed out there! Having a nice Mojito while sat in the pool, what more do you need!
Darren
Darren, in the afternoon it was virtually impossible to get a seat at the bar - it was often mobbed by hoards of canadians. I sat and watched one afternoon and there was a large group (15-20 people) who were at the bar for over 4 hours!! Where does all that liquid go ????

While sat at a swim-up pool? Best not to ask,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It wasn't normally a problem when we were there. Sometimes, there were nobody at the bar. It was earlier in the year than when you went though so maybe it was a little quieter?

Snorkelling in the caribbean then!

Best pool in benidorm-Monika holiday complex. A good all inclusive.
Freeform but good for swimming, approx 40m x 40m
Pegasos Palace/Tropical in Turkey have a great set of pools.....
For sheer number of pools try Iberostar Creta Mare & Panorama on Crete (near Rethymnon) 5 at the last count (not including the 2 or 3 you could use at the next door Iberostar Creta Marine !) as well as the 3 or 4 private coves / lagoons....fantastic place ......drinkable beer and wine on tap (literally) BLISS !!
