As long as you follow the usual guidelines for
being in the sun there shouldn't be a problem.
Plenty of suncream and reapply after swimming
and cover up at the warmest part of the day.

These days there is no reason for anyone to get sunburned!
Infact if you get sunburned it's because you haven't looked after yourself properly!

Most pools have showers nearby so you can always rinse any salt off...........
With water becomming short all around the med many hotels are changing to salt water pools in many ways they are better than chlorine pools just remember to wash the salt off befor it dry's and slap on plenty of cream

Stayed in a hotel with a salt water pool recently - quite frankly the best pool I have ever used so I would quite happily settle for another salt water pool.
Salt water swimming pools are no different than swimming in the sea really. Quite often, if the hotel is located adjacent to the sea, they use sea water to fill the pool (which is why they are salty!). Some people prefer saltwater pools, others freshwater. As long as its clean, thats all I care about! Just rinse off the salt after you have been in, showers should be provided and you'll be fine.

We had a salt water pool in menorca this year and it was brilliant for my sons eczema.It completly cleared up over the 2 weeks.

As an old man of 52 
and been holidaying abroad with a very fair skin, I use the higest factor suncream 
But lets be honest, even hiding away from the sun around early lunch time and hogging the parasols, accidents can happen. So my comment was Sun and Salt
Will happliy swim in the sea, so the Saltwater in the pool wont be any worse!
Was thinking , salt in a pool, evaporation , top up , more evaporation, Salt level rises
Dead sea here I come.

Saltwater pools are really the new, up and coming and modern thing on the med. Although I've never used a salt-water pool, I'd much prefer it to chlorine!
We had a salt water pool in Majorca - no probs. The water isn't half as salty as the sea and it doesn't sting your eyes like chlorine does.
out of interest, would saltwater pools warm up quicker than chlorine ones ? i've always wondered
I dont know if they heat up quicker but our salt water pool in menorca was really warm by the second week of the holiday.The first week i sounded like a chimp getting into the water and the second it was like swimming in warm sirup!

It doesn't matter if the pool is freshwater or salt water, they heat up at the same rate. It all depends on the volume and surface area, the more water there is, the longer it takes to heat up. Also, the bigger the surface area, the quicker it will heat up (but also cools quicker).

Have just returned from Hols , used all my factor 50 ! and can recommend the spray for those of us going thin on top.
There were three salt and four 'other' pools on the complex. I could not tell you which had salt and which did not , So no worries there!

There were two pools on our cruise. Both filled with salt water. Not a problem at all! and there were showers nearby too! xxx
