Hi scarlett, nice to hear from a new member, you are more than welcome! We have booked to goto Cyprus, Protaras next year in July for 2weeks from 19th July. 2adults and 2children (11 and 13) for a 2bedroomed apartment, and it cost us £1720, which i dont think is bad (only 400metres from FigTree Bay aswell ) Try and book early and some Travel agents, at some properties even give 2free child places, but you have to be quick. As you also have older children, you may find it better to book half board, so at least your breakfast and evening meals are in with your final price. Protaras is really good for kids, plenty to do, beautiful beaches, and dont forget Ayia Napa is only a 10minute drive away, for more nightlife.......... Im sure you could find a lovely half board accomodation in Protaras. Spend an hour at your Travel agents, and tell them your budget, they will help. We are going back next year to Protaras for the 3rd time, so they must be doing something right.............
Next year I mean Next year ........I haven't had my summer holiday yet (off in two weeks) got in the office this morning only to find a note telling me I have 2 more weeks to use before Christmas...... I'm too busy with other things to sort that one out can't even think of next year till it arrives
Wizard, arent you the lucky one.........2weeks to take before christmas, what are you going to do with your time?........ I dont know where you are going on holiday, but enjoy it
that's quite a budget - you could definitely get the caribbean to fit that sum. Take a look at the Riu resorts (the Merengue, Mambo or Bachata) at bahia maimon on the north coast of the Dom Rep - fabulous hotels, all inclusive and great for kids. I've been twice and loved it.
I think average price is around £850pp and perhaps less for the younger kids.
Thanks to everyone for the replys a couple of people have recommended the Dom Republic but am a bit nervous about the hurricane season as I HAVE to go in August anybody know if its safe, also will I need lots of spends as after getting that far budget will be blown, Many thanks in advance Scarlet
