Have you looked at the hotel reviews?
Entering "Zefir" in the 'Search' function at the top of this page also brings up a few references to the hotel.
Yes, thanks, tried all that already but it gives mixed reports. Just wondered if anyone had been there this summer?
The travel date was 07 2005" - just over a month ago, not this summer?
Brett Hudson's report in the review section - "
I have just returned from SB on Tuesday 13 Sept having stayed in Hotel Zefir, It is in the quieter side of SB but there is plenty of transport and a nice walk to reach the livelier section. Hotel Zefir is situated right by the beach, you just walk over a boardwalk 'thingy' and you reach some lovely sandhills, the views are lovely. The pool in the hotel is lovely and plenty of sun loungers are available, also the bar is 24 hour and beer is only 50p for a massive tankard. You can reach the Old Town of Nesseabar from the Hotel Zefir in about fifteen mins on a mini train which costs about 50p. Its so cheap in Bulgaria you will love it. Im back in work and want to go back now Khans Tent is a good trip, the view is fantastic!! and very reasonably priced. (I edited this as I previously put I got back last week but it was only tuesday this week - doh!!) must have been all that cheap rum .
Will think about booking for next summer after we come back from the Algarve ( we go in 1 hour!!!!!!!!!!)
Pat
P.S. Hubby loves the sound of the massive tankard @ 50p
Four of us aged between 24 and 31 came back from Sunny Beach on Tuesday morning after staying a week in the Hotel Zefir.
The hotel was basic, the towels wernt changed very often and the bed was two singles pushed together and not very comfortable but it was clean and the pool was nice. The hotel was very German orientated, i.e the food, the staff all spoke excellent german and not much english and it took us brits alot longer to get served at the bar!. The hotel was acceptable but if we went back to Bulgaria we would not choose to stay there again.
The beach was just outside the hotel as was the 'wally trolley' (a small train that stops at various places around the resort, excellent way to get about) and there were a number of restuarnts and supermarkets less than a three minute walk away.
The area was very quiet and ideal if you like to be just out of the hustle and bustle, also very close to old nessebar, which we prefered to sunny beach. However there were much nicer looking hotels than Zefir, just across from Zefir was The Imperial and a minute up the road was The Delta Palace.
A very good night out is Khans Tent, the show is well worth seeing and the food there was the best we had all holiday.
Hope this helps.
