I should imagine that what you save on the cans you'll spend on excess baggage, assuming you're flying there !!

What excess baggage - how heavy do you think an empty cool box weighs!!!!! We have flew tons of times and with a baggage allowance of 80 kg we are always well under.

Just weighed our camping fridge (bit like a cool box that you plug in) and it weighs 5kg but it's the bulk really.
With ours it will only chill 15 degs below temp outside.
It also has to be turned off after 12 hours, so it can't be on 24/7
When we bought ours last year all the other coolboxes/fridges said the same.

Could you see about hiring a fridge from the hotel?

Ours is just under 4 kilos - nearly 20% of one person's weight allowance - and too big to qualify as cabin baggage, hence the comment re. excess baggage.

Most Hotels will not tolerate you using your own drinks around the pool anyway.
