There is a Hotel right opposite i think that it is called club cap salou, but you would have to double check.
Cap salou is small and most of the Hotels/aparts are close to each other. A few are Molinos park hotel, Mediterean village aparts and hotel and festival village aparts and hotel. there is more but cant think of the top of my head.

big thanks for your help this will be the first time to this part of spain just like to no a little bit about the area my son 23 has two little girls and he may just forget it's my holiday to so thought i would look at other hotels that are near to his
Mediterean village is lovely and not too far, up the bank and cross the road from your sons hotel. Cap salou is nice although there is not that much to do there, not many bars/restaurants but you are close enough to Salou for that so it does not really matter.
The beach just outside of your sons hotel is beautiful, only small but good for the kids, Salou main beach is perfect for kids as the water stays really shallow until a long way out but it does get very packed.
If you need to know anything else just ask and i will try to help you.
Loulou
