In winter there is plenty to do and we have a good laugh plenty of entertainment on the strip so we are trying somthing diferent this year but you have to admit Benidorm is cheap we went for 2 weeks s/catering for 2oo quid each .Also it is cheap to eat out. Hope we are not diserpointed with Cyprus as the last time I went there we went to Ion Apa I think it was it may be lively in summer but it was DEAD in January.

i guess, benidorm has something for everyone. We went Portaras at Easter and the place was only just opening up so it was very quiet. but we enjoyed and wanted to return, hopefully every where will be open in Oct.

Have stayed at the Louis Phatheon Beach in Paphos and can recommend it for families.

On the other side of the island there are a number of all inclusives two of which are the Anastasia Beach and the Dome Beach.

You willfind reviews for these hotels HERE

Thanks Kath,
Will check this out when we get home from this holiday.

As Kath has said the Phaethon Beach In Pafos is probably the best for families on the island. We have been going there for many years and can throughly recommend it, in fact we are returning again in eary September.

Thinking of going to Cyprus next year around May half term or possibly . Can anyone recommend a good all inclusive with plenty going on for kids in the centre of Protaros. don't like being too far out from things, if not an all inclusive would consider a good hotel with similar facilities. also can anyone tell me what the weather is like at the end of May will it be hot then.

Thansk diane.

You should expect temperatures in the high 20's at the end of May and very little chance of seeing any rain, it did rain at the end of May last year but the taxi driver which picked us up from the airport said that was the first time in 30 years that he had known it to rain at that time of year. Jim will be able to confirm or deny this, as for all inclusive hotels I will leave any recommendations to others as all inclusive hotels are not my cup of tea unless it's a Sandals resort.
By the way it was into the30's this year when we visited from the 24th to the 31st May

can anyone tell me the best hotel to go for. me and my husband would love to go to cyprus but not sure which area so open to anywhere both 25 not really bothered about clubbing but enjoy going to bars.

Protaras/Pernera would probably be the best area.
As for hotels, I've no idea as I never would go AI. Not my scene. Sooner get out in the evenings and try the many and varied restaurants available.
