Temp in May

Check the temperatures now - late September is very similar to late May. I normally visit May and September/October every year and weather is generally excellent for sunbathing (25C plus during the day). Some nights in May can be a little cooler but not uncomfortably so (at worst you need long sleeves rather than a vest/t-shirt).
The only downside is that the sea has not had all summer to warm up, i still swim but the temperature difference is a bit of a shock from the warm, sunny air temp! :yikes

Went here in May (from around 18th) and found the weather very nice. During the day as has been mentioned it must've been kicking at the 30's, but at night it was a good bit cooler although still warm enough for us to go out with shorts and t-shirts. It did get a little windy at times during the night, but nothing much.

I have found that Pefkos is a tad more breezier than Lindos, although guess that's to do with the buildings formations.

It should be lovely then.

We are going to Rhodes mid may , in about 1 month.
i have been many places arround the world but never at rhodes , i am a bit worried about the weather , is there anybody out there that can kill my worries that im gonna be cold when swimming , an important part when i go on holliday is to swim in the sea , is it so cold in the sea from mid may that you freeze all the time while in the water , or is it like allways .... cold when entering and gets warm as you have been in the water for like 1 min.?

I always swim in the sea in Rhodes in May, the Greeks don't venture in 'til about June/July and think we Brits are mad! However, I find it cold to get in but fine after a few minutes.

I also swim in May but my parents used to take me to the east coast on holiday (North sea :yikes ). I agree though Juggernaut it's not for everyone.
