Hi mari, we stayed here in May. Have a look at my Hotel Report. It is an excellent place for couples. Just off the beaten track but only five minutes walk to the nearest Supermarket(Dannys) and Restaurants. The present Managers(Christin and George) are a marvellous couple. They have a BBQ every Thursday which is superb. The gents are given beer and the ladies wine, so long as you ask for it when you order. The rooms are kept immaculate by an over zealous cleaning lady !!
Restaurants we can recommend are Alkyonis Tavern, Kostas, Romanza, Dionysos, Greedy Greek, La Caretta, Mantelena, Apollo, Poseidon and Paradosaiko(this is on main road between Alikanas and Alikes).
There is a train(Wally Trolley) which goes out to a local village every day. They do a Greek Night on a Saturday, you have to Book early in the week to save disappointment, a great night had by all. We also went on the two day visit to Athens, also visited Olympia. these we Booked through Dionisos Tours(next to Greedy Greek). With Athens, ask when Costas is the guide and then go with him, he is excellent.
