In October I am due to spend approximately 7 hours at Malpensa Airport waiting for my flight home from a cruise. I know that I can get a train into Milan.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any other places it would be easy to visit as I'm not really into cities. Is it easy to go up to the lakes area for a couple of hours?
Any sugguestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
its not so easy to get to the lakes on the train, maybe you could hire a car for half a day. Lake varese is 40 minutes by car. remember if you have a 7 hour layover, you have to be back at the airport for -2 so you only have 4 to 5 hours. another option is to hire a car and diver at the airport to give you a quick tour of the lakes.
