Had a great weekend in Prague. Booked for K&K Fenix but they had a problem with water in the rooms and transferred us to K&K Central - found out afterwards that this is what they say when they have over-booked. However, didn't worry us - free coffee whilst we waited for free taxi - and we liked location of hotel. It is very close to the Old Town Square and close to Wenslasas Square. Used Prague Airport Shuttle co for taxi to and from airport - excellent service and would thoroughly recommend them.
Prague lived up to all my expectations and I would love to visit again. Only negative side - pickpockets. Please be aware if you visit - we saw someone having their pocket picked in cafe and pickpockets knew we had seen. One of them shouted at us and was very menacing - as two women on our own without hubbies to protect us, we found this a bit scary. Also, another couple at hotel had a nasty experience on Metro - he had his wallet taken, but felt it - instinctively he punched man in stomach and his wallet fell on the floor. He got it back but the pick pockets threw their luggage of train. However, on the positive side - did not feel uneasy walking out at night on our own.
However, don't want this to put anyone off going to this beautiful City - just want you to be aware and make sure you are sensible - make sure bags are zipped and wallets not easily accessible.
If you go enjoy yourself - the restaurants just of the main squares are excellent value and beer about £1 for half a litre. Czech people were all very helpful and friendly.

Glad you had a great time Linda, I loved Prague while I was there a few years ago.
