Jim, I prefer Leon over Keo as it doesn't have the aftertaste, although I do not DISlike Keo.
Had a couple of 5's last year. Quite pleasant.

Don't particularly like either of them but I dislike Leon, I drink Carlsberg as many of us do here, it outsells both beers now, but given my real choice Marsdens Pedigree Bitter now your talking..sadly not available here
carlsberg was my preferred beer when abroad, but a nice breakfast is obar in pafos.....or just a bacon halloumi cheese sandwich from the hotel.

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of whats on the menu in Romantica and Manhattan. Two places we haven't tried yet.
Off on Sunday, and have not visited Paphos for 10 years. Where have you all found to eat in Paphos, we do not have transport so would need to be within walking distance of the harbour.

We ate at a restaurant called Les Amis which we thought was quite good, and one called Adelaida which had set menus with free wine. These were both up near the Aloe hotel. The rest of the time we ate out of the town. Didn't have any bad meals at all.
Thanks for that, I will take these ideas with us, and work our way around them.
We ate at a lovely restaurant in Paphos called "The Seagull", it was on the left hand side of the road heading towards the main promenade, a small restaurant but wonderful food.
I mean if you consider above £5 a meal as expensive you would think any place that was expensive as worst... etc..
If you want really good local food where the locals eat, one place may be fantastic, but if you are the sort that travels 2000miles and wants to eat meat pie and chips, bacon and egg like you get home you'd hate it...
We only ate in the harbour area of Pafos while on a day trip in our hire car, at little open fronted cafe called "Steves Cafe" (if memory serves) and its food wasn't "posh nosh" but was very good well cooked grub, making really filling kebab type sandwiches which really hit the spot at that particular moment.. This for a snack type lunch was excellent but wouldn't be the sort of place for a romantic dinner....
so go on, what sort of place are you looking for ?...
We do not consider above £5.00 expensive, and would be looking for some good local dishes in Paphos.
We went to a lovely french restaurant called Gabor, its not far from the Ledra beach hotel, was about 50CY for two courses(including steaks as the main) and a bottle of wine.

Avoid the ribshack, there is more space on your plate than the food!!!!!!
I agree avoid Ribshack (awful), although Cavallini (Italian) more or less next door is very good - it's quite a walk from the harbour - down by Amathus hotel. I would avoid restaurants along the harbour at all costs as they are expensive, waiters the rudest I've found in Paphos and the food is below average. A reasonable Cypriot run restaurant is Edelweiss in Bar Street which is always really friendly. If you like Chinese try Chloes on the main road towards the harbour. Fat Mamas on the Tomb of the Kings Road is good for large portions of pasta / mexican /american type dishes. Manhattan is usually good it has an entrance from the main road and also Bar Street. Depends on where you're staying which ones are most convenient - I'm sure you'll be spolit for choice.

The best...''Pavarotti's'' but have deep pockets..also Sienna a little way up the Tombs road not to be missed, but honestly forget all that posh nosh go for local taverna food, and as singer says keep well away from tourist areas if at all possible.
