My husband and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary in December this year and are after a romantic weekend away. We are both very keen on visiting Italy, in particular Venice, however are worried that it may not be the best place to be in December!
Can anyone offer us some advice on whether sightseeing attractions in Venice are open in December, or would we be best looking at somewhere else to visit? (any suggestions would be gratefully recieved!)
Many thanks in advance.
All tourist attractions in Venice will be open during December, with the exceptions of 25 and 26.
Thank you Venice. The site is really useful.
the italian lakes are a great place to spend time in december, all the little villages lit up, snow on the ground. lots to see and do just an idea
Padova (Padua) is only a short bus or train ride away, & is a beautiful city for a day trip.
