Hi there,
We are off to China in September next year and will be going to Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Chendgu, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Depending on where we are visiting we usually wear trainers or combat boots when sightseeing. Will we need something a bit more sturdy such as proper walking boots? (I'm thinking in particular about the Great Wall as we have a full day there)
Thanks,
Dawn
We did a 3 week tour of China in September 2005. comfy trainers will be fine, even on the great wall. You will have a great time !
Ok, thanks Phlox
Err...... with possible exception of Hong Kong....... we spent last 3 days of our tour there.......very wet , (we were unlucky)... pack or buy those light plastic ponchos..... still get wet feet ... but warm. - Hong Kong not to be missed whatever weather !
Would love to hear about your tour! What were the highlights?
k, have been meaning to, will do within 48 hours
