hi if its the apartments were thinking of, the konak apartments are near the ekin hotel, just a short walk from the front (about 10min). We had a
look round a few years back and the rooms are basic but clean & suprisingly large . The restaurant/pub offered good food and good bar prices. The staff were friendly and the manager is the son of the owner, who is a good laugh too.
I hope I've got the right place, cos if so you wil have a good holiday

Does anyone know anything about the Konak apartments in Marmaris?.
We had booked to go to Happy Holiday apartment with Goldtrail but they have just informed us they have changed us to the Konak, they have also changed our flight times, which I dont mind so much but cant find anything out about the apartments except they are just up the road from Happy holidays. Any information would be great :thanks Imp

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Konac apartments in Marmaris and it was the worst holiday we have ever had. The apartments are ok quite large, clean and basic in a good area dolmabus stops right outside just around corner from Caria hospital, staff friendly, so why was it so awful well first when we arrived at 5am we where put on 2nd floor I had asked for a ground floor apartment and was assured we would have one as I have arthritus in my spine and can not climb stairs, plus there was no hot water. My hubby went down the next day to ask about hot water and room change, he was told they where having problembs with water heater but it would be ok later on and was told they didnt have any lower floors available but they had a small apartment on ground floor they used as a storage room they would send the cleaners in. It was small and very battered holes in bathroom door etc but we were gratefull for the ground floor so we accepted. About 2 hours later it was ready cleaners had emptied it out so we moved in. It was right on the swimming pool and resturant. We ate in the resturant most days food was lovely even if they did charge us £2.00 for a coffee. But next day still no hot water so we complained to our rep, it was only when we were telling her that other people said they had been there a week with no hot water, she went mad and told the manager to turn the hot water on, he was relying on the solar heaters which are not enough. He turned heaters on but would turn them off as soon as she had gone. After us and the rep complaining for a few days problem was solved they left the heaters on. Holiday was going great for next few days but then the manager decided he would keep the bar open for as long as he liked. We where kept awake untill 2.30am I wouldnt mind but there was only 4 women and 1 couple there but the noise was awful. Next day we complained to him and he said it wouldnt happen again but 2 nights later the noise was even worse and carried on untill gone 4am, I had been out twice to ask them to keep the noise down, next day we told the rep and she had words with him, he asured her it wouldnt happen again but next night it was just as bad so we asked them to change our room, which they did on to the first floor. When we where going out the manager just shugged his shoulders and said its buisness. Yes bad buisness, uptill then we had eaten in the resturant all the time but after that I refused to spend my money there, for the few pounds he made on his late night singing he lost on our meals as the few who were making all the noise arrived drunk and couldnt have spent much. Our rep was great she realy did try when my hubby saw her she said it could have been goldtrail who had not asked for a low floor. We had not booked to stay at this apartment block but had had our booking changed at the last minute. Goldtrail should advertise the apartments as can be noisy some people would love it but there were families with young children there being kept awake all night. After we stopped eating in their resturant the attitude of the staff completely changed they were at times downright rude. We never got our towels changed untill I asked. I love Marmaris and we are going back in October but definately not to the Konac. If you want a realy noisy place you will like them but I need some beauty sleep when on holiday. If you do go take toilet rolls as they dont supply them. :( imp

i have very recently returned from konak apts marmaris, we normally stop at the kocer club , but chose to be a bit further back from main road , these apts are great, very clean , all the staff are friendly, and the meals are very nice, i would recommend the mixed grill which is so big you have trouble eating it all, we are going back to marmaris in a couple of months, and we are definitely going back to the konak 10/10
