Hi
Just got back from SB yesterday. I was thgere for two weks and it rained a loy and was cold and very windy. As we were leaving fro home, it broghtened up and was sunny and warm, but not hot. My advise to anyone who id going out there now is to pack a rain coat and something warm as well as summer clothes.
Have a good one.

Thinking of going to Bulgaria mid-end of may 2006
Probably Sunny beach or Golden sands not yet decided. Is there anywhere I can find out what the average rainfall and temps are for that time of year.I have been told that May can be an unpredictable month as far as the weather is this true or not?

Hi Tangobunny ... have you tried the links on page 1 of this topic ? Wunderground is a very useful site, you can check historical conditions by specific date.

At the moment we are researching Sunny Beach and I was wondering what are the average temps. for July/August. Does it get up into the 40s.

Hi Waterford2005,

You will find historical weather data for Bourgas Airport (closest to Sunny Beach) for July 2004 HERE and for July 2005 HERE.

Adjust dates to suit yourself.

Hope this helps,

Weather data at Bourgas Airport for August 2004 HERE, August 2005 HERE - the weather at Sunny Beach is likely to be similar, as it's only around 40Km away from the airport.

Hi Tony
The linkd doesn't seem to work for me. :hmmm

I am sorry it will not work for you. I am not sure how I obtained site in first place. The site covers all of Bulgaria, with fixed camcorders at certain sites. as I said the mountain shots are great, it is actually snowing there now. Over the weekend over 2 foot of Snow fell in the Varna area. Keep trying, or perhaps somebody else has this link and are more technical minded than me. Cheers Tonyt

Hi Tony,

No problem - it was the *www* in the url that you posted which prevented the link from working.
