i would pay the extra to be safe

I have booked these apartments through sun4udirect.com for some friends and was wondering if anyone had recently stayed there.
It seems like a really good deal, £419.00 for a family of 5 (should have been £544.70) for 2 weeks on the 27th August.
I understand that a lot of people who stay there are all inclusive and have their meals at the Flamingo Benidorm but this is self catering. I haven't been able to find out much about them through reviews on here or elsewhere so any info please.

Hi Sue ... we only have one review at the moment (click here) but this fairly new complex was also mentioned some time ago in our Muggers Alley thread (click here), the connection there being that the most direct route between the Playamar and facilities at Flamingo Benidorm was via the alley/dirt track. Obviously that won't apply to your friends on a SC basis, but there may be some useful info there.

Just got back from benidorm I was supposed to be at the playamar sharing with the flamingo benidorm, but after reading some reviews I asked and got an upgrade to the Monacco which I will submit a review in due course. If you get this offer say NO the hotel is supposed to be ten mins away this is true in a taxi, if you walk it is about twenty and it is a long walk for your breakfast. On the Playamar itself looked a very new clean and tidy hotell very central with a bar so if you get it on a self catering holiday I would say go for it as when I was there I never heard of anybody getting mugged
