just realised, I said in an earlier post that we were flying from Cardiff. I'm losing it fast, we are in fact flying from Gatwick as Thomson don't fly to Santorini from Cardiff or Bristol. We are however flying from Cardiff to Corfu next May ( that's my excuse for the confusion)

Shirley,where are you staying in Kamari? We're at the Villa Atlantis Beach in Perissa.Ive watched the video on Thomsons site as well as their own loads-how sad!?! Im just really looking forward to it after visiting Cyprus for so long it's the excitement of the unknown.Do hope we aren't disappointed.

We're staying at the Estia studios in Kamari. Apparently quite a small complex with only 7 studios and 18 rooms but it looks really pretty. We've been to Greece quite a few times and are hoping that Santorini will live up to those previous Greek holidays.

I've said for a few years that I wouldn't mind trying Cyprus, but every time I get the brochures out I am put off by the prices. Also my sister and her husband went last year and found that it was quite expensive to eat out. What is your opinion on the prices compared to other places?

Well Shirley,I too have been to Greece many times but not since they've got the Euro.This year we thought Cyprus had got a little more expensive than previous.If you go to restaurants and stick to the 'specials' then it probably can be quite cheap but we usually say to people that it is on a par with eating out at home-in the nicer restaurants.You ought to visit though,it's a beautiful island and although the accommodation can be more expensive it's usually abit nicer than you find in Greece.As with everywhere though you usually get what you pay for.Everyone says that once you visit Cyprus you will go back-it seems to be true.
