I have been asked by a friend what foodstuffs you are allowed to take from the UK to France (personal import). I have tried to look via Google but I can't find the information they require.
My friend has relatives in France who are homesick for some of the traditional English foods. Basically, can you take English bacon, blackpudding, pies, and other meat based foodstuff?
Thanks
Hi Bob! Yes I miss ALL of those things!! I've never had any problem bring these foods into France, but I always chose goods that are hermetically sealed (they do the black puds this way for me on Bolton Market!!) but you should have no problems if you put them carefully in hold baggage and buy them on the morning of the day you fly.
Hoildaytruths rises to the challenge once more.
According to information on the europa website there are no restrictions on carrying meat or milk products within the EU, go to this page and download a copy of the text manuscript for easy reference. It's quite informative.
