Casino Grand Sharm was the one recommended to us. Everyone we spoke to (egyptians) said it was the fairest, although there are 3/4 in total in sharm i think.

Half of the slots are in italian and the other half in english (u get groups of english and italians in on excursions).

Don't be afraid to stand around the outside and watch whats going on to get a feeling for the games (they have poker, blackjack and roulette tables).

Take only what you're prepared to spend and take your passport as they sometimes ask to see this as you're going in.

As it's a muslim country, it's technically illegal to gamble but the casinos are classed as international terrotories or something. For this reason YOU CANNOT EXCHANGE egyptian pounds for chips. We made this mistake by changing £150 into egyptian ready to change into chips (hence getting stung for two lots of charges) we had to go into sharm to change back into Dollars - nightmare.

You can change either sterling, euros or dollars into chips.

It's a good laugh, dont expect to win anything and just take with you what you're prepared to lose...

Hi has anyone been to the casinos in Sharm??
My husband wants to go and was wondering about dress codes etc. Also is there an age limit to get in as our son is 11?? I dont expect him to take part but not sure if he would be allowed in.
