Hello,

Salou is extremely quiet in December, at times it resembled a ghost town, however there are bars that are open - I was only there for one night but the following were open:-

Blue Bahia (Very Modern Spanish bar, we were the only English which was great, music is loud!)

Jimmys (Karaoke bar near the Hotel Marinada)

Danny Boys (Irish bar with very good atmosphere, always busy and I think this will be your favourite its near the main beach and seafront fountain closest to the Caspel, there are signs directing you at the Seafront)

During the day the tourist area of Salou is very quiet but there are a few places open, should you want more bars/shops then walk down the promenade until the double line of palm trees stops then turn right down Barcelona Street, this is the Spanish area and is open all year.

Having been to Salou in summer I found it amazing that a place could be so heaving and also so empty but I really enjoyed it and would go again in December.

Have a good time.

You horrible girl coming on here telling us about your good fortune getting your flights for a penny, We are going on the 17th and have paid £83 for the two of us, when they reduced them to £20 for two all taxes included.
But never mind we like you will enjoy it regardless of the weather, so have a good time and enjoy. we are at the Sol Costa Daurada, on winter sunshine holidays the Caspel was much dearer this time.
