Whilst on holiday recently in mainland Spain I used my mobile phone to send a few texts.
I am on Vodafone pay as you go and texts should cost 49 pence using the Vodafone Spain network. For some reason each time I sent a text I was charged double - 98 pence - I checked my balance after each one. I have the Vodafone passport which means any calls I make from abroad are charged at 75p per call plus my home network tariff rate but this does not affect texts.
Any suggestions why this may have happened. I realise that there is probably not a lot I can do about it as on a pay as you go tariff you don't have any printed record of the calls. In Majorca in March they cost 49p.
Pippa
Nope sorry Pippa no answers for this one. I'm not happy with Vodafone at the moment either if thats any consolation. They are right rip off merchants and I've also had a dispute with them this morning over something else.
