Just returned from Can Picaforte. The resort I found slightly expensive and definately geared for German tourists. Beach is lovely.
Do NOT go to eat at Torito Restaurant in Paseo Colon, 103. You access it by stairs going down into what I must admit is a marvelous decor. We asked for lobster..they didn't have any despite having books of photographs claiming they had won all sea dishes awards..so we asked for T bone steak. ... they didnt have any actual T bone but we were assured the cut they had was "the best".
The steak was HUGE..yet full of fat and totally disgusting.
Prices were high too...13 euros for a meagre prawn cocktail and 19 euros for the fatty steak.
The Hotel Haiti however is SUPERB!!! Very friendly atomsphere - staff are marvelous. The hotel is super clean and the meals are delicious and plentiful!
Entertainment was above expectations and the kids clubs were the best we have ever seen. Top marks to all the excellent reps there..particulary Bo and Marie as they were non stop working and dedicated to giving everyone a fun time.
One downfall is the tiny lifts but I would reccommend this hotel to anyone!
Will definately return there again..not for the resort..but for the Hotel.
Best Hotel we have ever stayed at.
Perhaps you would like to review this hotel for future visitors.

Will be going to this hotel with my wife and 9 year old daughter in August and was wondering if anyone had been there!
we stopped here last Aug and we had a good time the hotel itself is very clean and well kept although its on a busy main road
drinks were very expensive so most of our time was spent down the road at williams bar
if your daughter is quite a fussy eater like my 2 where then we ended up eating out most of the time but i found the food to be ok
have a look here for some reports and if you need anymore help just ask

I've read the reports, sounds like nearly all had a great time!
I don't suppose you have an e-mail address for them do you?
It seems that everybody says the drinks are dear and you have to be sat down for the shows by 7! Well I think I'd rather go out anyways as having been on Thomson holidays the last 3 years I know the shows off by heart! lol
So whats the prices for beer like in the town, probably half the hotels?
Are there any peers into the sea or little coves close by?
Did you go to palma and if so was it your own way or with Thomson?
Cheers

drinks in the can picafort very where you go but they are alot cheaper than the hotel if i remember we where paying 2e20 for a pint of sam miguel in williams bar but i think it was a bit cheaper at wotsits i know it was 5e for a bottle of bacardi breezer in the hotel and down at williams it was 2e.70
the beach is very nice didnt see any piers but it gets quiet choppy so kkep your eye on the kids we preferred to get on the bus and go to alcudia where the beach is much better
sorry havent got a email for the hotel but just hope you dont geta room with a road view
we didnt goto palma as ive been before but the bus is a much cheaper way of getting there and if i remember it was about 6e for adults return theres a stop right outside the hotel
if you need anything else just ask

Looking on the map it seems there is a big area with nothing in it right by the hotel, Is this the pine forest?

Is anyone else going to this hotel?
I've just booked a week half board at this hotel for May 11th 2006. I am going with my friend and her daughter. Will there be entertainment this time of year at the hotel and how far away are from Alcudia? Also is there any other entertainment of an evening which anyone would recommend?
Has anybody stayed at this hotel?
Thanks
Nicky
Dont know whether you will get to read this as its an old topic but to answer your question, yes there will be entertainment here at the Hotel. This season we had a good few acts etc ( its geared up for families ) and there should be plenty to do.
Alcudia ( Old Town and Port ) is about 10 to 15mins Bus ride away and the Bus stop is outside the Hotel.
IF im back working here next season, introduce yourself, im the fool who works through the night on Reception..................
PS: The resort was predominantly German , now that is not strictly the case. There are plenty of British bars and others that cater for all nationalities. Plenty of Brits holiday at this resort so dont ever think you are going to be staying in little Munich!
Thanks Sun...that has eased out minds....
