We are going to the Oceania Club, Halkidiki in August. Just wondered if anyone has any comments on this all inclusive complex. We tend to veg in the hotel complex rather than go out and about (lazy days!!)We are travelling with 3 children, 2 x 15 year olds and an 11 year old. Just wondering if there is much for them to do in the evenings? It looks like the hotel offers a 'teen' club but sometimes these never seem to materialize. Also the pool looks fabulous but a bit on the small side and where is the pool dedicated to those staying in the suites? Any advice greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

hi Caroline

We holidayed last year at the oceania club and have rebooked to go back in July.last year there was an excellant teenagers club from what we could see, as our son was only 7.Certainly the teenagers seemed to be having a great time.Neil who was there last year who looked after the teenagers was good fun. There were activities down the beach for them and also the nightclub was open for teenagers early on in the evening. The main pool was quite large. The deluxe pool was just in front of the deluxe block.Over winter they are rebuilding the deluxe pool due subsidence. It is planned now to be a similar shape to the main pool but smaller. The al carte restaurants were hard to get into last year ,you need to book them up the first day you arrive or email the hotel prior to arrival.last year we spent 2 weeks just relaxing is was great.Hotel was very clean and staff good.At the pools they walked round all day bringing drinks to you. This also happened on the beach.hope this is helpful.

Many thanks for the info. My teenage girls will be pleased they can get into the disco. I had heard that they are strict with serving alcohol to under 18's (thank goodness) and did wonder if they would be able to go to the disco as they will only be 15. From our AI experience in the Dom Rep where they will serve alcohol to anyone who 'looks' old enough I am hoping this is the case.

yes we did have a good time. you will love the hotel. cant coment on the kids clubs as ours are grown up and flown the nest. we did see a small playground and a pool for toddlers and small children. one tip is if you run out of teabags in the room you can get some in the dinningroom in a morning. try the asian alacarte. it was the only one we tryed and was very nice. the banna fritters were to die for. the f+b manager recomended them. it will probably take you a few days to get your bearings. we lost each other on the second day thank god for mobile phones.i think if you are in a junior suite its a bit more straight forward.if you need to know anything else i will be happy to help.

we are a family of four going to the oceania club on 28th June (2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 8). we are looking for advise on kids clubs and dining at night - what is the dress code, the meals in the a la carte restaraunts - do they cater for kids? any advice would be much appreciated. we are really looking forward to just chilling out for two weeks, we have a deluxe junior suite booked and hopefully this is big enough to accomodate us all?!

yes you can take children in the alacarte resteraunts but i dont know if they have a childrens menu. when we went the children were mostly pre-school as they hadnt broken up. they do have kids clubs and a mini disco at about 8.30pm. dont worry about your room it will be fine. if you like you can go on the web site and it will give you a plan of the room.

We holidayed last year at the oceania club and had a great time.We are going back in August. Our friends have just returned last week.So we have been able to find out about changes. In the a la carte restaurants there was not a children's menu.however you could bring food through from the buffet restaurant. The Italian and Asian were next door to the buffet. However the greek was in a different area so it would not be easy to get food from the buffet.Last year we took our son to buffet first and then he came with us when we eat in the a la carte restaurants. This year children's club hours have been extended (According to our friends). It runs from 10 till 13.00 15.00 till 18.00 and this year it is now on every evening from 20.00 till 22.00. They were able to dine in the a la carte restaurants when there children went to club in the evening. We also stayed in a deluxe junior suite last year. There are varying designs.Have a look at the Oceania website. Our's was excellant with a door between our room and our sons sleeping area. This area would fit 2 single beds nicely.however some of the other dekuxe junior suites were just one large room.We are really excited about going back.
