Costa Adeje,Torviscas or Fanabe areas are best for me. Close enough to all the activities but far enough away to be quieter when you are around your hotel.
I can personally reccomend the San Eugenio/Torviscas areas. You have everything within a ten minuite walk. Enough to keep you entertained but not too rowdy where its in your face. It is also close to the lovely harbour of Porto Colon.
