Hi
Can't recommend a specific apartment block, the ones we stayed in were in Sonneland, which is up the hill from Maspalomas and they were very basic.

Regarding eating out. One area was by the lighthouse near the beach where there was 5 or 6 restaurants, nice setting and it felt quite upmarket because their were a few posh boutiques etc. We ate in one 3 times the food was so nice. Think it was an Italian.

There is also the Faro 2 shopping centre where we ate the other evenings. This was a circular complex and had approx 12 restaurants and bars. Behind the beach there is also a row of Icecream parlours and drinks places you can sit down at, for lunch or a snack. We managed a week without going into PdI once. (didn't fancy it from what I saw on the coach transfer!). :D

:D Hi lisa, we went to maspalomas, which we liked as it was nice and quiet, (We prefer quiet during day, and lively at night), so we went into pdc every night (2E in a taxi).

Can't for the life of me remember what the apartments were called, but there was five different complex's dotted around, each complex, had it's own pool, with about 30 apartments to each complex (All had pool views, and it was four star, with air cond), could look into this if these apartments are to your interest. I remember, the apartment was classed as a studio (So no supp), but when we arrived there, it was more like an apartment with a seperate bedroom, and our son slept, outside on a pull out sofa.

If you require any further info , just ask. BBB.

Thanks for your quick replies, I think we'll fly with Thomson as they do the 11 night but I might book accomadation seperately.
Sounds like Maspalomas might be a better place to stay when in apartments, I think I would be very worried about the lack of security in apartments in PDI. In our hotel they always had security guards patrolling which leads me to believe that they were needed.

Any ideas about the map?
