Hi,
My Brother is off to NY for a couple of days in March and asked me to look for some flights for him. The cheapest I could find were British Airways, return from Heathrow for £276 (all in).
This seems like a good deal to me, unless anyone knows of a better deal?
Cheers

Depends on precise dates Virgin in March on some dates are £253.00
Cheers for that.
Kuwait Airways have return flights to NY for around 220 inc tax from Heathrow on certain dates.
Also http://www.airlinenetwork.co.uk have Continental flights for £257, good times as well, morning departure, evening return.
Hi i have trawled(sp?) the net for cheap flights to new york, the cheapest so far with no stop offs is £338 return,i have found flights that have 1 or 2 stop offs that only cost £188 but to be honest it adds hours on to flying time and we would just rather get there so my question is in order to get the great cheap pricedflights do you have to book a flight that stops off before your destination? having never booked seperate flights before i think £169 each way to new york is ok but having read on here that other people get flight and hotel for the same amount that i would payfor a return flight i feel im missing somthing help please
You are right in saying you can get a flight and hotels for that money, I did last year. Try ringing some numbers from Teletext, thats how we got our deal. The temptation these days is to assume it must all be cheaper, direct through the internet or with sites that let you "Build your own package" such as Expedia. However, while very good, they were still beaten (for us anyway) by calling a number seen on Teletext who were very helpful.
Personally I think the BA prices are good (and Virgin) if still valid. The cheapest operator these days are probably Air India from LHR - at least you might get a free curry on board (said tongue in cheek)

Flyglobespan have flights from Liverpool to New York JFK out on 20 July back 31 July for £325.00 per person inc tax. See flyglobespan.com
I'm looking to book a return flight to either Boston (or perhaps New York) for around june time this year and i was wondering if anyone could suggest a good airline to use (or website)?
Also what kind of price would a return ticket be and is it a good idea to leave the booking till last minute or do it in advance for america?
thanks
Also flying The 15Th June To 25Th Is BA They Fly To BOS With One Adult With A Round Trip Is £395.10
Hope This Helps =)
Depending on where you are in the country, Flyglobespan have a daily flight from Liverpool to New York JFK, travelling end of june, £ 334 inc tax.
Otherwise check out Air India and Kuwait Airways as they have flights from Heathrow to JFK and normally at a good rate.
Another good alternative to North East USA is to fly to Canada ie Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal and travel in to the states from there. Canadian Affair and Flyzoom have very good fares to Canada.
We are meeting up with friends from Oz and spending a week in New York City from 16-23rd June . We would like to spend at least a week beforehand travelling either down from Boston or up from Virginia.
I have been amazed at the prices quoted by both B.A( ex London ) and Continental (ex Birmingham )for even one way (£430 +p.p ) Can anyone give me advice on how to minimize the cost (no, we do not have a canoe )
Cheers Denis
May be worth looking at.
try flyglobespan from Liverpool Airport
I've hunted around for flights from any London airport to New York (JFK) Cheapest I can see are around the £600 pound mark. Does anyone know of a reputable place I can get a flight cheaper?
