Hi
We are looking at booking a snowboarding / skiing holiday at some point .
Having never been before , if we booked France or Austria etc are welikely to encounter any language issues at all , or are there any resorts we should avoid that we would have problems at , only speaking English .
Many thanks
I think in most Austrian resorts you won't have a problem, lots of ski schools have classes conducted in English. Hotels, restaurants shops will have at least one employee who speaks English. I can't speak for France as I have only skied there as an experienced skier so didn't need lessons and I can speak and understand some French but I think at most major resorts you shouldn't have many problems.
English speaking instructors in all major resorts in France as well as hotel/bar staff
