Hello
I am looking for a holiday in Greece to suit two adults and a teenager. I would like somewhere where the beaches are amazing, great food, safe area and not to many tourists. A place where my teenage daughter wont be complaining she is fed up, where my hubby can't complain its boring sun bathing, does a place exist!!!! lol.
Very interest in Kefalonia or a greek Island -one where we dont need to hire out a car to get from a to be.
Cheers
Try Corfu: Acharavi, Roda or Kassiopi. Beaches at the first two are OK (not great) and rocky coves at the third.
Rhodes: Lindos, fantastic beaches, lovely place, very safe but swarming with tourists from 10am to 3pm when they visit the world famous acropolis. Stay on the beach and avoid them and then you get the village back to yourself by late afternoon. Accommodation in the village itself is limited to self catering. If you want a hotel you would have to stay outside of Lindos, which is a pity.
Crete: West of Chania, beaches can be very good or shingle strips, read up on the resorts for which is which. They are mainly very good and Chania is close enough to stop anyone getting bored.
Mainland: Parga, fantastic beach but be careful where you book because you could be a good walk or boat taxi trip away from the beach.
There are lots of other places I shall leave others to recommend but basically you are safe anywhere in Greece in my own experience.
Thanks for that at least now I can head to the travel agent and pick up a few brochures. We are thinking of Paxos as well where i believe its again mostly apartments and villas.
cheers

Paxos will be too quiet for your teenager! Honestly.
In the summer went to the Chania area of Crete, as Magster says west of Chania, but research the beach as they are very mixed. The one by our hotel was pants! Didn't matter we had two beautiful pools and went to Elafonisis (spelling!) as well, bit of a treck but we liked the drive through the mountains anyway.
Yes, Paxos is the island just south of Corfu. Beautiful island but chic, sophisticated and quiet. Not somewhere a teenager would relish!
