Hi I was thinking of holidaying in goa or kerala in late november 06. I went to kovalam in kerala a couple of years ago (only for a week) and loved the laid back way of life, no dressing up at night etc.
I've seen a photo in a brochure of a banana boat on the beach in goa and it puts me right off reminds me of club18-30 hols, and read a review that its full of english style bars offering fry ups is this typical? where would best to stay north or south? is there anything to do in the south?
was planning on going for 14 nights so thought Goa may have more to offer?
can anyone help?

hi juliagoolia (great name by the way) we have come back from Goa on Xmas day and have been in Goa 5 times in the last few years and we have seen a differance even in those few years. there are some englified pubs, cafes and english breakfast on offer, but i have to admit i still love the place, but dont use the british theme places, when in Rome they say. We always stay in the north so cant compare for you. there are some quieter beaches the further north you go. could you give me more info on kerala as we fancy a trip there sometime i believe its like Goa was 20 yrs ago. hope this helps
Neil
