Humberside Airport is a small regional airport, ideal if you livve within a thirty, forty mile radius. Very easy to get to. I use the Airport parking facilities, and am happy with the charges. Its just a very short walk away from the car parks to the Terminal Building. Once inside the Check In Desks are right in front of you.
It does have its drawbacks. Its very small, and seating is limited, but as there are only a few flights each day this short not pose too much of a problem. Facilities are very limited. There is only one Restaurant 'groundside' and I personally thought it was very expensive. Over £10.00 for a full english breakfast. And bottled water was almost £2.00 a bottle. There was a reasonable selection of Hot and Cold meals on offer, but prices are a bit steep.
There is also a small newsagents, so make use of this before you go through to the Departure Lounge as there are no facilities once you go through Passport Control. There is another bar in the Departure Lounge but I found it to be very expensive. You get some nice views of the Airfield whilst you are waiting to board your flight, but don't expect to see much airport activity. There is only ever one landing and one take off every two to three hours I think.
The Duty Free is very small and only has a very limited selection of products, and I'm not sure where they get their 'duty free' price tags from as I found prices to be no cheaper than in high street stores.
However, I believe the convienience of a local, easy accesable airport with affordable nearby parking far outweighs the lack of facilties on offer inside the Terminal itself.
Hope this is of some help.
I believe Thomsons no longer operate services from Humberside now. They have moved all their departures from here to the new Robin Hood Airport. If you have booked a Thomsons Holiday and are travelling from Humberside you will probably be flying out on the Spanish Charter Airline Air Europa.
That number you gave me for parking near the airport , I think you said it was colled Blink Bonny... well that number is not recognized when i try and ring it
Can you confirm the name and let me know if they have recently changed their number please ?
Thanks
michaela
Does anyone know if Humberside are stopping their flights to Antalya airport in Turkey for next year? Just been having a look to get a price for next year but all thats coming up are flights to Dalaman.
I know its a long time away but ive just looked at how much parking is for Oct 17th 2010 for a week and it comes up saying no spaces left ??? is it just because its too far away. Thanks
I would imagine with this being 13 months in the future they have not yet released all the information about next years parking, no need to worry.

I thought it was that i just wanted to look at the prices and see if i should drive there or taxi thats all thanks x
Hopefully this will be the start of a return of all of the lost Spannish routes since the start of the downturn. FlyBE had trailled a flight to Malaga this summer with very high loads (averageing around 90%), but it seems the logistics of the operation, due to using an aircraft based at Southampton and doing w patterns) may have meant the route was too much trouble. Hopefully more to come from Ryanair should this do well.
Humberside is the nearest airport to me but never flown from there ,hopefully Ryanair will give me some options
As i say Lincoln Imp, its probably just the start. If the flights do well then there will be more.
Yep here`s hoping
