Hi everyone,
I am trying to plan a summer holiday, and was just wandering what Malta was like in the summer, and what are the best areas to visit?
Thank you very much!
Joss

Hi Joss, it's red hot in summer, and anywhere that takes your fancy is worth visiting, but for a new visitor to Malta I would highly reccomend Valletta, Mdina, Marsaxlokk, Mosta, Three Cities, but best thing to do is get yourself a good guide book or check out these websites Regards

Sliema2 - what, no mention of Gozo
Hi Mark, oh the shame of it, and yes any first time visitor to the Maltese Islands should visit the wonderfull Island of Gozo but best to check that it is open first though
joss- what sort of things do you like doing, that will give us a better feel for what to recommend

Gozomark is absolutly right, a trip to Gozo should be in your plans.
I really like exploring, i dont drive though, but im happy to go by buses, i also like to try the local food, so lovely resturants are a must!
What are the beaches like? i also like to snorkel and scuba dive,
Thanks for all your recomendations, i will look into it more!
Thanks again
Joss,
I don't think you can go wrong anywhere in Malta for Snorkel/Scuba diving especially if you like wreck diving, there are schools all over the place. All the beaches are to be found in the northern part of the island but unfortunately if you are not going to drive then you will probably be restricted to Mellieha beach. Gozo has some beautiful beaches but again a little tricky to get to all of them by bus.
Restaurants and the food that they offer are very good so again no problems there. Your biggest problem is going to be where to stay?
Yes you must visit Gozo. Suggest you hire a car and take it over to Gozo and include a visit to our favourite beach at Ramla. Beautiful golden sand, fairly safe bathing and a couple of nice cafes. I don't think you'll be disappointed,
