Lixouri is actually quite a long journey from the airport - I think the above person might be getting muddled with Lassi.

The quickest way (and the way which some tour operators use) is to get the ferry across from near Argostoli. Otherwise it is a fairly long drive round the coastline.

I have had a look on the Portland Holdidays site and it says 2 hours with a 30 minute ferry crossing.

we travel to LIxouri regularly if you go by taxi from the airport it is at least 1 hour if you get a taxi to the ferryboat at Agostoli it's about 35 minutes all depending at what time in the month you are travelling as in high season the ferry boat is every half hour in low season every hour but would check that the Aqua Beach is up and running as it dies not appear to be in Corfu, Cos, and as far as we know not in Lixouri
