Hello everyone,
I am planning a trip to Lindos in June, it sounds like a really nice place.
I was wandering whats the transport like? good buses? its just that i dont drive so cant hire a car, but i really wanted to go exploring and visiting the islands.
Do you no if there are any tours from Lindos, and if so are they much more expensive?
Thanks very much!
Joss,
Have a look on http://www.thelindianway.com they have a bus timetable and have details of the excursions you can take from Lindos. The buses do run on time and the prices are pretty good 3.40 Euro to Rhodes Town last year was about the longest and most expensive trip. There are travel agents in the village that organanize outings to most of the popular places. Plus there are boat trips that can be booked as well
Thanks also for the tip on the tourist office in the town, its really handy knowing that there is one there!
Thanks again,
Joss.
They are cheaper than the tour reps for the same excursions.
Take plenty of sunscreen with you for the dates you're going as Lindos can be up to 10C hotter than the rest of the island.
Have a ball!
