My fiance and I are looking to go on honeymoon at the end of August/First week in September 2006, however, as yet we are undecided as to where to go and need help (We are looking to go for between 10-14 nights)!
I have a listed a number of our choices below, and wondered if anyone can advise me if they have been to these places before, and let me know what they think of each one:
- South Africa.
- Dubai.
- Brazil.
- Canada (Dual centre - 1 week in Vancouver, 1 week in Toronto)
- Hawaii (With a 5-7 night stopover in either Seattle or San Francisco)
- Croatia
- Australia/New Zealand
- New York (And another city in the US, but don't know where to go)
- Safari in Kenya
- France
Basically, we are not looking for anywhere too hot, where we can combine 1 week on the beach, with 1 week sight seeing. Also, I am not over keen on travelling anywhere where we have to undergo a lengthy flight time, and do not want a location which is too tacky (We have in the region of £3,000-£3,500 to spend)!
If anyone has any other recommendations where to go, these would be greatly appreciated.

if one of your criteria is not a lengthy flight time then several of your options are written off already! Even if you combine Australia with somewhere along the way the flights will be long What max flight are you looking at? As it is I would say you can take off Australia, Brazil. South Africa, San Fransisco/Hawaii( which I think would be an ideal combination and great for a honeymoon). Vancouver is about 9 and half hours.
If 9 hours is ok what about the Caribbean?

By the way- I get bored out of my mind on long haul flights but I keep going on them! They are a means to an end.
