Thanks to those who have posted here before our xmas and new year holiday we were relaxed as to what we thought we would find. The Levante Lux are really good quality apartments, on a bit of a hilly area but well manageable for most (my wife has asthma and was ok).

There is building work nearby, at the otherside of the road by the entrance is a refurbishment of a hotel - hardly any noise as they are now equipping all the rooms with furniture, and a new build is taking place about 100 - 150 yards away which is partly shielded by an existing block of flats. You will see it from your balcony (mainly flats C and D of each floor, Flats A and B may be a little less affected) We were in apartment 3D over xmas and new year (26/12 to 07/01) and the noise was not too severe. Some days it was very quiet but that may have been due to holidays, and what seemed to be working 4 day weeks. Other times the noise was present. Some people asked to leave to go to another block of apartments but it was not severe enough to cause us to feel it disrupted or cause inconvienience. Those who moved seemed to be elderly people with no or little tolerance for anything but silence !!! If you are realistic and prepared to accept a little noise you will not be too affected. I think the main drilling noises for the foundations are almost at an end and so it will be quietening down even more in the coming weeks and months.

In the one bed apartments at levante lux the bedroom is at the rear and with the window closed the noise in the morning even on noisy days was almost absent. The two bed flats (Flats A and D on each floor) have a second bedroom next to the balcony and our 15 yr old son could hear the noise in the mornings when it was happening, however it didn't cause too much distress to him.

Good luck and best wishes to anyone who goes, the apartments are A1, and if you are tolerant you should manage, if not start drinking first thing and you'll have forgtten the noise by lunch time !!! only joking....

We would go back in the future so it couldn't have been too bad........
