The Miramar beach is right next to the Goa Marriott but you will find a lot of local toursits there and hardly any Europeans there. I would advise against swimming in the sea there are the river and the sea meet at this place and the currents can be quite unpredicatable.

The closest "safe" beach is located at Bambolim , 5 Kms from your hotel and is very quite and by the Bambolim Beach Resort. The toursity beaches are up north ( Calangute, Candolim, Baga etc) a 20 min drive from your hotel. Think you have chosen a good hotel as well. Beautiful setting and lovely rooms.
