We booked with Destinology who we found to be quite reasonable. We are staying 3 nights in Bangkok and 12nts in Phuket and paid £950 for lot including breakfast in Phuket.

Every year I shop around on the high street and on the net and I end up booking with some one that is an upopular choice and that is Thomas Cook on the high street. Mostly because you can usually get between 6 and 10% off the long haul holidays (depending on which tour operator you book with) depending on how well you haggle (I always find it best to ask for discount when they are on the phone with the operator doing the final pricing and booking), and because I tend to book multi centres the prices on the net seem to be about the same price as the high street shops.

I usually get hold of a colours of asia brochure and then ask an independent travel agent to do the same itenary for me and its always cheaper.

What might have been the best one year is not necessarily the same the following. We have done it all DIY before, have also used a travel agent and have booked directly with tour operator. Just a case of researching. Your itinery would be very easy to do DIY. Remember, when you get the best quote go round everyone again asking them to beat it! I would be very surprised if no-one does!

We went round all the TA's and eventually settled on Travel Counsellors who have been excellent, we also got good prices with Airline Network
