Have just booked 2 weeks in Lindos in June, staying at The Lambis Studios
[one with pool].Any additional information about studios and Lindos would
be great .Have read all the reviews on site and it looks like we've made a
good choice. sioux
I know the resort and the island v well (after holidaying for 10 years + even living there for 2 years) so anything specific feel free to ask...
You will probably find The Lindian Way very useful in giving you a background on the resort and what to expect. Lambis is listed in their accommodation section so a few more pics for you than you'll find in a holiday brochure. http://www.thelindianway.com
You've picked a beautiful resort and a good time to visit as Lindos, being v much a suntrap, can be horrendously hot July/August. As i said, anything specific you need to know just pm message me and i'll be glad to help
as pefkos is nearby would you say last week in aug and first in sept will be horrendously hot
We were there last year at that time, during the day it was between 40deg-45deg. Look for an apartment/hotel with air conditioning this is a must. It will help you sleep at night.
I was very concerned about the temperatures before going, but we all coped well.
If you require any further info do not hesitate to post.

where i am looking at has air con but we have a 7 yr old and she is worrying me a bit, but we have to go then so everywhere could be 35 degrees or more
We went with friends who had a 8 year old in tow, most days were spent around our pool, or on the beach. Both parties hired cars, which had air conditioning, great to tour the island, spending time on the beach. Yes it was hot, but we all coped.
But if you want to visit Rhodes Old Town, or wander the streets of Lindos in the Midday Sun then you will be asking for trouble. If we wanted to go out we would head out early, and arrive back at the pool for the afternoon. Even as Adults the heat gets to you.
Another problem we had was there huge Wasps, they would not leave you alone if you were eating, we did notice that after dark you could eat in peace. They also had a problem with mosquitos.
Do not let any of this put you off, we had a great two weeks, and the Island is fab. Its all about being sensible, I usually get bitten alive but took extra measures.
Hope this helps,
Kaz.
Thanks Marcuschap will probably inundate you with questions nearer the time.sioux.
We are going on july14th so hopefully there will be some other party people there to?!

You'll have a brilliant time. It's definitely one of those places you go to and the bug bites. Every person you meet in Lindos have either been before or plan to come again.
There really are so many different places to choose from in terms of eating out and drinking etc. I personally really enjoyed sussing them out for myself and developing my personal favourites.
An ideal night for me would probably be:
-Few early doors pre-dinner drinks in Socrates bar.
-Head up to (in my opinion) the best restaurant in Lindos - Arhontika or something like that (quite pricey even by Lindos standards but the food is awesome - lindian baby shrimps to die for)
-Down to Byzantinos wine bar for a chat over a glass of red with Mikalis. Perhaps even indulging in a scotch or something.
-Back up to Socrates to finish the night getting off by getting rather inebriated and singing to old classic rock tunes.
Heaven.
