I don't care about banking terminology, I do know that we always use our Nationwide Card abroad. We have always had an excellent rate from them and are not charged any withdrawal fee.

I`m not saying that you don`t get a good rate from them, or that you are charged for withdrawals and conversion.
I was just interested to find out the what the actual rate was on converting the euros back into sterling, when debitting your account.
I must presume it is based on the rate of the day, but there is a wide discrepancy between selling and buying....which is what you do when withdrawing money and then having it converted....and if Robby is saying that they give you the conversion rate on the receipt of withdrawal, then some figures may be more useful than wit.

Anyway, I`ll go find out for myself
