Does any body know how stanby tickets work and where you could get them from
I hear people saying they have a stanby ticket for next week etc

I assume they work for an airline where they get reduced rate or free but it is on standby.
I dont think the gernarl public can buy them.

Standby tickets are normally sold on the day of travel. You can ring an airport and ask to be put on a standby list for a certain flight, but the norm is to go to the airport ready to fly, and get yourself stuck on the lists for that day. Then be prepared to wait!!!!!!
