Hi,
Still not sure what to do.
I've got my heart set on Thailand this Xmas, but keep flitting between Ko Samui and Krabi.
I like the look of the hotel in Koh Samui more, and also like the fact that there are local restaurants nearby. I did think it would be a bit bust for us but the hotel is on a quieter beach about 10 mins from Chaweng so I'm happy wiht that. The only thing putting me off is that it's only just coming out of the rainer season, whereas with Krabi it's the best time to go.
I know that anything can happen anywhere as far as weather is concerned, but has anyone actually been to Koh samui in late December/Jan? How was the weather when you went?
We are real sun bunnies so are looking for sunshine.
Thanks
Lisa
You will have good weather in Krabi then. There is every likliehood of good weather in KS in January but I think there is more chance of some rain. I would go for Krabi- but this is just from the weather stats, I have not been to either in January!
Been to both places in January...although a bit later in January. Caught quite a bit of rain in Samui, none in Krabi - again its luck of the draw. Having said that I've been to the Phuket/Krabi region in the periods Jan to March seven times and I've never seen any rain.
