Benalmadena at this time of year is mainly populated with older people on long winter stays. 24 Hour Square and the Marina will still be lively on Friday and Saturday nights after eleven (later at the marina). Very few other bars will be open after 12.
Busby's is open for cabaret acts and Karaoke until 2. Capones is open for Karaoke Wed-Sun until around 3. The Cavern opens around midnight until the last one leaves for Karaoke.
Take jumpers and/or jackets, it's chilly when the sun isn't out.
I have just returned from the Sol and they are getting the rain they need which they love and we hate!!! We all need the stuff so better now than when you travel.
I was told to go to the Plaza Mayor I think it is called which has good bars and is open all night. I never made it so I do not actually know if it is any good but maybe others can advise. It is towards the airport.

Plaza mayor has if I remember its own station on the Malaga line.Sometimes the train doesnt stop there.It will be announced if it will or will not stop.
