Hi leighrb5

When we first visited Cyprus in 1984, we stayed at the Arsinoe Beach. We got a special deal at the time - 3 weeks for the price of 2 - half board - £ 249/person all in! I expect you're paying a tad more

I was in the hotel, or rather its club "Rosey O'Gradys" for a carnival party a couple of weeks back. The hotel's expanded sine we stayed - it's almost doubled in size.

There's a very good little bar next door that we still frequent - it's called "Mianco" run by a chap called Michael, ably assisted by Maria & Andreas. Drop in and have a drink - say I sent you Nigel from Erimi. You never know, you may get a free one!

Regards, Nigel

Reviews look quite positive but just want to double check as it is on offer for £600 for HB 14nights in school holiday time at end of July

Hi kilgoreck

If that's an offer then I wouldn't hang around........book it now before it's gone

All reviews of the Arsinoe are good ones so I'd go for it

If I recall correctly, there is some sort of an entertainment programme and they usually take place at the freeform pool at the back of the hotel.

There is another pool to the side, just off the bar area but it quickly ends up in the shade as the sun moves round after lunch.

I'm trying to remember if there are any banks nearby and I can't recollect any. However, I believe the nearest banks are to the left as you exit the front of the hotel.

I don't know about food as we've never eaten there, all we've had were coffee or soft drinks from the bar over 2 or 3 weeks. My stepson was out to visit us on holiday for a few weeks a couple of summers ago and he took a Try Dive there and then completed his PADI Open Water diver course with Andreas (an English Cypriot) who owns Discover Diving Cyprus situated in the foyer of the hotel, opposite George the hairdresser.

It's literally just across the road from the beach and we swam there whilst my stepson took his first sea dive. Seems a reasonable price!

Enjoy!
