Hiya,
I've not tracked down your hotel yet, but you dont have anything to worry about regading being miles from anything. If you think about Sharm being like a county, or region rather than a small resort (coz it's not small), and Sharks Bay as the town. Naama Bay is easily accessible from Sharks Bay. Most hotels provide a taxi or bus service into Naama in the evening. Take a look at THIS MAP for the resort location. I'll keep looking for your hotel and post any info I find.

Hello MrsMac,

Thanks for your reply

Is Naama Bay and Sharm two seperate places?
What would your recommmendation be?

The hotel we have booked into can be found in google.com - search for sunrise island garden resort - should come up top under holidayhotels.com

How much roughly is it for a taxi into both places?

Am quite worried that we're quite 'away' fropm everything thats all.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Mike

If you click on THIS MAP then click Sharm el Sheikh (located at the very bottom of the Sinai Peninsula), you'll see what Mrs Mac means. Sharm is the resort, it consists of several bays, Naama Bay being the busiest.

Ahhhhhh - I see!

That makes alot more sense now! Cheers for the help with the maps - I just couldn't get it straight in my head!

Is sharm and the bays inside walking distance? Or is it advisable to use the taxis?
Hope they aren't too expensive!

Hi, my husband and I and our 13 year old daughter are thinking of going to this hotel next Thursday. We have never been to Egypt before. Can anyone advise if they have stayed at this hotel and their views on it. Can you also tell me how easy or hard it is to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel and how much it would cost. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

The Sunrise Island Garden is the sister Hotel to the Sunrise Island View & Suites.
The Garden is not on the beach, but the Hotel does run a shuttle bus between the two hotels. If you are all inclusive, you can get drinks & lunch at the Island, check whether you have to get vouchers with Reception as I know they operated this system last year.
The airport is at the back of the Island Garden and is approximately 4 kms away by road.
Hope the above helps.

Hi,
Thanks for the info.
We are staying at the Sunrise Island View & Suites.

I would love to hear from anyone who has stayed, as we would liek to know about the Tennis courts. Do you have to pay for the hire of rackets, balls.
