Cleethorpes is practically at the end of the M62 near Grimsby. I would think it would take you about 1 1/2 hours to get there but considerably longer for your relatives.

Go to http://www.theaa.co.uk and key in your start and end point on the route planner. It will give you the route, distance and the estimated time for the journey.
You can print out the route and a map, this is useful for when you get the inevitable "are we there yet" after driving for all of ten minutes.

The Haven site at Cleethorpes is great for kids and it is only a short walk to Pleasure Island Fun Park.
If you decide to go to the fun park there are usually leaflets in reception with money off vouchers,if not drop in to the tourist office in town on the sea front.

Cleethorpes is brilliant for kids. I can remember looking forward every year to our annual day out to Cleethorpes when I was a child, then when I was older I took my own children there, now we`re even OLDER, we still enjoy a ride out there for the day, I wouldnt want to go for my main holiday, but it`s good for days or long weekends, and Pleasure Island theme park will fill one day for you.
