Hi all, you may of noticed that I have posted a few different articles about various aspects of Maltese and Gozitan history, the reason for this is to highlight to new visitors who may be interested in these things just how rich the heritage of the Islands really is, each one of these places has been visited by us often more than once so gets the Mr & Mrs Sliema2 stamp of approval, there are loads of other places that we have been to and I will add psotings of these over the coming months, but before you ask Dave I am not trying to rival your excellent series of little bits of history.

Hello Sliema2, I like it, at least all the things you have listed are places that the tourist can go and visit. Keep it up I may even use it this summer as I bet there are lots of places still for me to visit this summer.

nice one, Sliema2 - liked the one on the old prison in the Citadel - still to visit it, will pop by tomorrow
I remember reading that for knights to end up at the citadel prison they had to be be particularly badly behaved - at the time, just being posted to Gozo was considered punishment enough - how times change !

Hi Mark, visiting Gozo can still be like a punishment if you really fancy a pint or 3 and Gleneagles Bar is shut, if Sliema2 doesn't get his beer on holiday he becomes quite grumpy and agitated and ends up being told off by Mrs Sliema2.

Hi Graham, glad you enjoyed it mate, I agree about always learning something new, our next visit to Malta will be our 15th and we still haven't seen all we want to see, never once during those visits have we been bored or without something to do, this to us is one of the main reasons that makes the Maltese islands so very unique.
