I am looking to go away in june, I would like to fly from the northwest of the uk for no longer than 3 hours. I have 2 kids under 10.
Does anybody have any ideas for a sun break??
Cheers
Try Bulgaria. Albena or Golden Sands, 3and Half flight from North East to Varna Airport. either 40 or 30 mins transfer depending on which Resort. Look in Balkan Holiday Brochure. Cheers Tonyt
Thanks, but I dont fancy the balkans. Been before under different circumstances. Any ideas spain, portugal etc...
What about the Spanish Costas or the Balearics ? You could do all of them from Glasgow, and I believe Thomson are operating from Inverness to Majorca this year too.
The Algarve is a fantastic destination for all ages. You should be able to get there in 3 hours from the north west. Not sure what sort of place you like to stay in, but if your kids like beaches you will be spoilt for choice. In the central Algarve, there are plenty of other things for kids to do - waterparks, boat trips, jeep safaris, etc. Albufeira is a good base, but there are lots of smaller resorts all along the coast. The weather in June will be beautiful (hot but not stifling) and the Algarve will be relatively uncrowded compared with the July/August peak period.

I just remembered you want to get rooms in the reception block or the middle one as the end one hasn't got the updated kitchen facilities.
