You could try Sunet Bay, they are the apartments on top of the Wigan Pier, or across the main road is a very nice complex Pueblo Torviscas, which goes down towards the beach. Type either of the complex names into Google & it will come up with loads of rental sites.

Are there 2 Wigan Piers, we were in one last week opposite the Gala Hotel with drag queen Crystal - now I am confused :?

Santa Maria is a lovely complex and not far to walk to the Wigan Pier or all the other bars in Puerto colon. I have a nice apartment on the ground floor which I look after myself and clean. PM me for more details.

Yes, the one you mention & also the Original Wigan Pier in Torviscas, just down from the Orlando. they do a really good breakfast. ( Wigan Pier not the Orlando).

Thank you Nigel for clearing that up for me. We stay in Porto Colon every Oct and have done for years and years, but I have never gone up that road as I though it was just apartments, I will try there for breakfast in Oct.

Hi again
I didnt know there were two Wigan Piers either. What area is the other one in, have looked for Gala hotel on a map but cant find it.

The other one is in Starcos, (Veronicas area :? ). The Gala is just off the main road around the corner opposite Starcos block. Despite its location it is supposed to be a lovely Hotel.

The Gala Hotel certainly looked lovelyfrom the outside. We stayed in the Colon II apartments which were lovely and far enough along the road to be lovely and quiet. We would never go to Veronica's but was Ok walking to Wigan Pier as it is up and road the corner, when we came to go home at 1am it was a busy area but OK.

i would definately reccomend Pueblo Torviscas Apts there only 5 minutes away from the wigan pier or you could always look at this site http://www.choicehols.com/ because most of the apts are only 5 minutes away from the area, hope this helps.

Sunset Bay (closest) is wholly owned by Sunterra Time share. Pueblo Torviscas is partly owned by Sunterra. The Sunterra appts on Pueblo Torviscas are fare better kitted out than the independent ones.

Thanks to everyone for the advice, have had a couple of prices for apartments in the area we want but they are quite a bit more expensive than Garden City, suppose you get what you pay for. Will just have to keep looking.

Hi again
Well i have booked flights today for 10th-21st Nov. from Manchester.Just thought I would let everyone know that XL are offering flights with 20% off as well the £15 you get off with the telegraph promotion code but it is for today only.We have paid £273 for two flights which is cheaper than BA and much better flight times. All we need now is somewhere to stay hopfully in the area we want,if anyone has or knows of an apartment available for these dates could you let me know.Hoping to get one for no more than £300 for the 11 nights, but maybe I am being over ambitious!
Cheers Helen

Hi
We have got fixed up with what looks a nice studio in Santa Maria which is near enough to where we want to be. Although we are quite familiar with this area I would be grateful for any bar or restaurant recommendations in the local area, and any comments from anyone who has stayed in these apartments.
Cheers Helen
